About Carefree
There are around 9 million unpaid carers in the UK, 46% of whom haven’t been able to have a break in five years. Carefree was founded in 2016 with the aim of providing unpaid carers with free holidays in unoccupied hotel rooms.
Charlotte has led the development of Carefree’s innovative model, which through its award-winning tech booking platform, has provided over 4,500 free breaks to unpaid carers worth well over £1 million. 98% of carers report improved wellbeing thanks to their break.
