Michael has cared for his wife since she was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS. The illness has taken away her ability to work, travel and do all the things they’d hoped in their retirement. Michael struggles to meet the physical demands of her personal care needs with his own arthritis and sadly her repeated suicide attempts echo the despair they have both felt through the situation.
Over the past three years Michael has taken three breaks with Carefree at the Village Hotels in Hull and Leeds, where he’s been able to spend some time with some old friends.
