Alison has been a carer for her son Michael for the past 24 years who has paranoid schizophrenia and issues with drug abuse. In her own words she has made so many sacrifices to ensure that she can be available to support him, like not taking on jobs with too much responsibility and protecting him as best she can from the justice system when the voices he hears push him to violent behaviour.
Alison took a break in March 2024 at the Tavistock Hotel.
